The Story
Louis C. Tiffany Magnolia Window

Louis C. Tiffany used drapery glass to shape lifelike magnolia petals and incorporated his lead lines into the design to form branches and twigs. His designers studied nature with care, capturing the grace and realism of magnolia blooms.

This lantern design is inspired by three window panels housed at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park, Florida. These panels originally adorned Tiffany’s New York City residence and later his Long Island estate, Laurelton Hall, where they served as a transition between indoors and outdoors, bringing his beloved magnolias into the home.
